Widseth Smith Nolting Welcomes Andrew Muer

Andrew Muer has joined the engineering department of Widseth Smith Nolting’s Alexandria office. He has a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota—Duluth.
 
Muer is an engineer in training. He works in the structural engineering department, where he assists in bridge field inspections, load capacity ratings of existing and proposed bridges, load posting analysis, retaining wall design, superstructure and substructure design, review of plans, and coordination of plans and designs with clients. He is familiar with computer modeling applications such as LEAP Conspan, LEAP Consys, Virtis, ENERCALC, and AutoCAD 3D for the design and load capacity rating of bridges.
 
Prior to his position at WSN, Muer worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation in Duluth, Minnesota, where he performed construction administration, executed quality control, and computed requirements for the rehabilitation of multiple bridge projects, including the construction of the US Highway 2 off-ramp and bridge.
