Widseth Smith Nolting's Palcich earns LS License

Widseth Smith Nolting’s Tony Palcich has passed the exams and met the education and experience requirements necessary to become a registered professional land surveyor in Minnesota. Licensure is granted by the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design.

Licensure candidates typically must pass the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam, the Principles and Practice of Surveying (PS) exam, and a state-specific exam. Exams are provided by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). Most states, including Minnesota, require four years of acceptable, progressive, and verifiable work experience under the supervision of a licensed surveyor. 

Palcich joined WSN in 2010 with three years of land surveying experience. He completed right-of-way layouts while he was with MnDOT for one year, and performed surveying tasks while with an outstate Minnesota land surveying and engineering consulting firm for the prior two years. Palcich’s current responsibilities with WSN are survey project management, boundary, topographic, remonumentation, and construction surveys. Palcich received a bachelor of science in land surveying from St. Cloud State University in 2010.
