Alex Schrader and Ryan Hermes have joined the architecture team of Widseth Smith Nolting’s Rochester office. Schrader is an architectural intern and Hermes is a landscape architectural intern. After working in WSN’s Grand Forks office for the past year, Hermes and Schrader recently transferred to Rochester.
Schrader has worked under the direction of WSN’s registered architects on a variety of architectural project types including multi-family residential, office, commercial, justice, building renovation, historic preservation, downtown redevelopment, educational, and religious facilities.
Schrader’s responsibilities include assisting project architects, preparing and presenting proposal estimates, preparing and reviewing construction budgets, assisting with construction documents, responding to bid inquiries, assisting in construction administration, and documenting projects. Schrader has a Master of Architecture degree from North Dakota State University.
Hermes’ responsibilities at WSN include preparing, supervising and assisting in the preparation of drawings for a variety of landscape architectural projects, including conceptual plan studies, presentation graphics, freehand sketches, base map preparation, construction details, and construction documents. He has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from North Dakota State University.
