Patrick S. Murphy to take over majority stock ownership & assume position of Company President
August 17, 2015 – ROCHESTER, MN – Twenty-eight years after purchasing Tonna Mechanical, Steven J. Murphy is passing the torch to his son, Patrick. Formally enacting the company’s succession plan last week, Patrick purchased the majority stock ownership position from his father and assumed Steven’s position as Company President.
“Tonna is—and has always been—a forward-thinking company, and it is an honor to continue my father’s legacy,” said Patrick. “Our customers have come to expect the most innovative, value-driven solutions to their home or business comfort problems. I’m eager to be at the helm as we continue to expand our product lines, evolve with new technologies, and guarantee excellence with every service call.”
During 18 years working for Tonna Mechanical, Patrick has held various field and office management positions. For the past five years, he served as the Commercial Construction Department Manager while spearheading the company’s high-impact marketing and rebranding initiatives. “It’s been an exciting transformation, and it’s all part of our continuing commitment to making our customers’ lives easier—and their homes and businesses more comfortable.”
