Rochester City Lines Advances Transit Expansions
Local Bus Company to Offer Five Daily Trips from Metro Area

With an eye toward future growth, Rochester City Lines is expanding regional bus service for commuters along the U.S. 52 North corridor with the opening of a fifth daily departure serving metro area residents commuting to Rochester. The new route, which will run Monday-Friday, starts November 14th.

“We’re very excited about this new service. With the added frequency, five buses now serve the region every 30 minutes during peak hours” said RCL commuter services manager Christian Holter. “This is absolutely our fastest growing corridor, and we’re happy to be able to offer expanded service at these times based on surveys with our riders.” The new service will depart Bloomington at 6:30am, Inver Grove Heights at 6:45, and make stops in Hampton and Cannon Falls by request, arriving in downtown Rochester by 8:10am. The newest afternoon departure will leave Rochester at 5:40pm, which is 30 minutes after the current latest departure.

To encourage people to try out the service, RCL is offering free 10-Ride passes to anyone currently driving to work in Rochester. Interested persons should call 507-288-4353 or email info@rclbus.com.
