PRESS RELEASE:  Local 9 year old organizes Dodgeball Tournament on Monday, February 20th, for third to fifth graders.
Rochester, MN.  February 14th, 2017 – A local nine year old, Tim Schroeder, has organized a Dodgeball Tournament on Monday, February 20th, for kids in third to fifth grade.  This event is open to all kids in the community and will be held at the Rochester Area Family YMCA, 709 1st Ave. SW, Rochester, MN, 55902.

The space for this tournament might be taking place at the Y, but the determination of this local 9 year old is truly why local kids will have a chance to play this fun and exciting game next week.

Last fall, Tim, a third grader at Lincoln K-8, looked around town for a place to play Dodgeball.  His desire to play this game with his friends led to some disappointment as places were very limited.  After speaking with the Rochester Area Family YMCA, Tim was motivated as he got the green light and he put together a plan and the details for a Dodgeball Tournament.

Teams of children in third to fifth grade can register today to join Tim and his friends for a fun and friendly Dodgeball Tournament.  The cost for a team is $80 and registration details and information can be found on the Y’s website at www.rochfamy.org or the Y’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/rochfamy

Adventure Day Camp is also available at the Y on February 20th for parents that are in need of childcare after the Dodgeball Tournament.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
