Official Love welcomes Ms. Regina Seabrook as our inaugural Vice-President of Education.  Ms. Seabrook is an expert educator of 18 years and community volunteer. She was recruited to develop and implement the Rochester Public Schools SAFE (Student and Family Engagement) Program, a college and career readiness program for first generation college students that ran successfully for four years.  Prior to her time in Rochester, she taught middle school and high school history for South Washington County Schools, where she piloted the Teacher Cadet Program.  In 2006, Ms. Seabrook was the recipient of the Elizabeth A. Sorin Award from Hamline University for her master’s thesis, focusing on building trusting and collaborative partnerships between white teachers and parents of color.  Demonstrating her high level of engagement, Ms. Seabrook, served on the state Social Studies Standards writing committee, the Student Engagement Indicators work group, the Achievement and Integration work group, and the Bias Review Panel for the MCA Science test for the Minnesota Department of Education.  In 2010 Ms. Seabrook was honored as a finalist for MN Teacher of the Year. She recently finished a superintendent program with St. Mary’s University and was also appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Marshall School.

Ms. Seabrook is invested in both the joy and the empowerment of youth and serves her community with a focus on removing barriers and expanding access to education and employment opportunities.
