Good Earth Village Announces Interim Executive Director
 
Spring Valley, MN- June 10, 2015--Good Earth Village Board of Directors announced the appointment of Dianna Parks as the new interim Executive Director effective immediately. Parks replaces Chad Campbell who stepped down as Executive Director in March from Good Earth Village after five years on camp staff.
 
“The expertise and passion that Dianna brings to Good Earth Village is exceptional and we are very fortunate to have her with us during this time of transition,” said Mary Veiseth, President, Good Earth Village Board of Directors. “Dianna’s leadership combined with our exceptional staff will continue to ensure Good Earth Village’s vision is positioned for continued growth in the creation and development of Christian leaders who will go out and change the world.”
 
Ms. Parks has more than two decades of providing leadership and advocacy for non-profit organizations including board development, donor relations and fundraising guidance. Previously Ms. Parks was a Major Gifts Officer at Mayo Clinic and was Director of Resource Development for Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley and Director of Development at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  She holds a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management and Philanthropy from Bay Path University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
 
Ms. Parks is a strong advocate for the arts and spends time as a musician and enjoys performing regionally. She also provides volunteer leadership as Vice President for Resource Development with the Rochester Area Boys and Girls Club and is Co-Chair of the Rochester Civic Theater’s Development Team.

Good Earth Villages began the official Summer Camp season on June 7 with the theme of “Light the Way” and will offer more than 45 camps for grades K-12 including six new camps; Village Kids a week long day camp that offers transportation from Rochester, Stewartville, Austin and Grand Meadow, Imago Dei- in the Images of God At Camp, exploring God’s light through art, and a glow in the Dark Camp where kids stay up all night exploring the role light plays in faith and the world around. Also new will be a Family Weekend Camp that is intergenerational and gives families a chance to play, relax and explore together. Annually the 10-week summer camp serves over 1,000 young people throughout the U.S.
