NAWIC Chapter 346 To Hold 25th Anniversary Celebration

ROCHESTER, MN — March 23, 2018 marks the 25th anniversary for the Southeast Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). The chapter was established with the help of our peers in the Minneapolis – Saint Paul chapter and has grown from a handful of pioneering women to over 30 active members today and growing.

Chapter President, Jessi Oeltjen remarked, "We have achieved this milestone through the hard work and dedication of our chapter members and the companies that support us.  We will continue striving toward our vision where careers don’t have genders assigned and people can pursue their dreams and passions, promoting opportunities for the success of all people in the construction industry.”

Throughout 2018, we have been looking at where we started, what we have achieved, and what our plans are for the future.  On April 12, 2018, we will be holding a celebration at Somerby Golf Course in Byron, MN.  Our celebration event begins at 5pm with dinner served at 6pm.  Our program includes speakers from Midwest Region leaders of NAWIC, Charter Members and current representatives of the organization.  Event information and details on how to purchase sponsorships or dinner tickets are available on our Eventbrite Page.
