Center City Housing Corp. is pleased to announce the hire of Johnna O’Neill as the Site Director for the new Gage East Apartments. Johnna will manage operations of the new supportive housing facility for homeless youth and homeless families.
Johnna brings a diverse background of child welfare advocacy, policy, program management, and public affairs to the position. She spent the past four years managing the volunteer program for Safe Passage for Children and contributing to legislative advocacy efforts that resulted in sweeping child protection reforms.
Johnna said she was drawn to Center City by its commitment to and success with the housing first model. “Center City’s approach to ending homelessness is at the intersection of pragmatism and our highest societal ideals: equality, respect, and empathy. I could not be more excited to join Center City and our partners to facilitate youth and families in their work to achieve permanent housing.”
Nancy Cashman, Supportive Housing Development Director, said that Johnna will work closely with residents, staff, and partners to create a positive community environment and ensure residents have all the necessary support to live at Gage East Apartments.
The 55-unit apartment building is located near Gage School and will provide permanent supportive housing for homeless families and homeless youth. The Gage East Apartments are currently under construction and expected to be completed within the next three months.
