AAA Awards Lourdes High School Traffic Safety Grant
In recognition of Teen Driver Safety Week (October 15th -21st), AAA - The Auto Club Group is awarding $300 mini-grants totaling approximately $5,000 to various Minnesota high schools who applied for funding to enhance teen driving in their communities.
On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, Scott Dieter, Agent/Owner from AAA Insurance Agency in Rochester and Chad Carlson from AAA in Burnsville, were pleased to present a check for $300 to Lourdes High School at a school assembly.
The mini-grants allowed schools to determine what activities, programs or events would best help their communities. Some of the differing ideas included programs focused on preventing distracted driving, encouraging seat belt use, purchasing special signage and supporting mock car crashes.
