Angie left a career in education after a time of reflection while teaching from home during the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020. Her vision was to create a community center in rural Southeastern Minnesota; one that brought people from all walks of life together for mutual support. Miss Angie’s Place was born in February of 2021 in Pine Island, MN. MAP now offers programming based on its four pillars; art, nature, spirituality and movement. Join us as we hear Angie’s story of personal triumph, self-discovery and inner awakening.
Angie Severson is Executive Director of Miss Angie's Place in Pine Island, MN. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Design Technology from Bemidji State University, a Masters in Instruction from Saint Mary's University and taught high school art and business classes at Lourdes High School from 2015-2020. Angie has been an artist all her life (although only recently admitted it) and graphic designer for 20+ years. Her four daughters are her pride and joy and her family resides in Pine Island.
Develop relationships within this supportive group of women leaders who meet the third Friday morning of each month. The Women's Roundtable provides a small, safe environment for women to: practice and refine skills, discuss challenges specific to women in positions of leadership, learn together and empower each other to take risks. Join us for a fun, engaging program driven by the needs of the group.
