Dee Vazquez Sabol
Dee Vazquez Sabol is Executive Director of the Diversity Council, an organization that has spent 30 years ensuring that the people of Minnesota embrace diversity as a foundation for building a healthy, inclusive and prosperous community.
Ms. Sabol brings experience in cross-cultural communication and change management. Most recently she spent 15 years managing public affairs, strategic partnerships, and community and cultural engagement in El Paso County CO. She has been deeply engaged in the areas of public-private collaboration, social equity, and sustainable growth.
Ms. Sabol received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Sociology from the University of Colorado and a Master’s in Public Administration/Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver. She’s taught courses in collaboration, governance, and stakeholder management for the Colorado Springs Center for Nonprofit Excellence and El Pomar Nonprofit Resource Center. She received the Karen A. Patterson Award for Community and Organizational Change from Regis University, the Making Democracy Work Award from League of Women Voters, and numerous other community accolades.
