Minnesotans know that no investment pays a better return than education—and Senator Franken is a champion for effective education from pre-kindergarten through college, as well as job training programs to provide workers with the skills they need in the 21st century economy. He is an advocate for expanding and developing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education in Minnesota. Senator Al Franken was elected to the Senate in 2008.
