Keynote Speaker: David H. Rodbourne, VP, Center for Ethical Business Cultures, University of St. Thomas' Opus College of Business

Keynote presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with local business leaders.

Panelists include representatives from Dunlap and Seegar, PA; Post Bulletin; Olmsted Medical Center; Alvin E. Benike and Cardinal of MN, LTD.

Registration fee includes take-away resources which will allow attendees to examine, evaluate and strengthen the ethical dimensions of their business culture.

Speaker bio:
David Rodbourne is vice president of the Center for Ethical Business Cultures (CEBC) at the University of St. Thomas’ Opus College of Business. Since joining the Center in 1995, he has played a key role in developing and delivering ethical leadership workshops and services for the Center’s business and organizational clients. Mr. Rodbourne leads the Center’s corporate citizenship focus including a multi-year project engaging distinguished scholars to research and write U.S. and global histories of corporate responsibility. The lead volume — Corporate Responsibility: The American Experience — was published by Cambridge University Press in 2012.

Mr. Rodbourne speaks on ethics and corporate citizenship to business and professional groups, and he has presented at national and regional workshops of the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics. Management team simulation exercises developed by Mr. Rodbourne and colleagues at the Center have been used with business, college and high school groups. At St. Thomas, Mr. Rodbourne works with faculty and staff to enhance the educational experience of students and support the Opus College of Business focus on creating highly principled global business leaders.

Mr. Rodbourne’s educational background includes a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and graduate study at St. Lawrence and the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. He served as a volunteer with the Peace Corps in Afghanistan. David and his wife Marcie have a very busy 16-year old daughter.

Background on CEBC:
Founded in 1978 by Minnesota business leaders, the Center began as the Minnesota Center on Corporate Responsibility. Renamed in 1998, the Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization affiliated with the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business. CEBC’s mission is assisting business leaders in creating ethical and profitable business cultures at the enterprise, community and global levels. The Center is a bridging organization connecting scholars and business leaders. It is governed by a business-led board of directors elected by the Center’s business membership.

CEBC with its business and academic partners originated the Minnesota Principles, outlining global standards for business conduct. Subsequently, the Center facilitated the development of the global Caux Principles for Business based on integrating European and Japanese concepts with the Minnesota Principles.
