The Lamp of Knowledge Award is a partnership between Greater Rochester Advocates for Universities and Colleges (GRAUC), the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce, and Rochester Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
The award is given to an individual, business, or organization associated with the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce that actively supports higher education partnerships in Southeast Minnesota. Recipients have shown a commitment to foster higher education opportunities through:
- Volunteer work in helping to enable or encourage students to pursue higher education,
- Partnerships connecting the local school system students to the education and training needed to be successful in the workplace,
- And/or partnerships connecting employees to the education and training needed to be successful in an ever-changing workplace.
