Name: Fuel Professional Development | Crafting Your Elevator Speech with Norm Doty
Date: November 29, 2012
Time: 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM CST
Event Description:

A great elevator speech or self-introduction is appropriate, credible, intriguing, specific and brief.  You will learn how to create this 15 second statement to establish your credibility and professionalism, to clarify what you do, and to tell why people benefit from working with you.  The right elevator speech will get you the “Oh really? Tell me more.” response.  That first 15 seconds with a prospect can change their perception of what solutions you have to offer and be the determining factor of whether or not they will ever sent an appointment with you or buy from you.

Norm Doty has over 14 years of experience in the industry and is currently co-owner of the Rochester, Minnesota, Eau Claire and Menomonie, Tomah Wisconsin offices.

Doty joined Express in 1996 as General Manager of the Rochester office. He is a past president and board member of Childcare Resource & Referral and the Diversity Council, past board member of Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce, RAF's First Steps and Olmsted Medical's Board of Trustees. He currently serves as Chair of Rochester Area Economic Development, Inc. and  vice-chair of Olmsted Medical Foundation Board .

Doty graduated from University of MN Mankato with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. He earned his Master of Arts in Business from St. Mary's University in Winona. Norm, his wife, and three girls have made the Rochester area their home. Norm and his family spend their free time on Lake Pepin.
