The 2023 Legislative Session included the passage of the earned sick and safe time law. Effective on January 1st, 2024, Minnesota employers are required to provide one hour of fully paid sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours a year with a carryover of up to 80 hours, including temporary and part-time employees.
